Blepharoplasty is a form of plastic surgery performed for correcting deformities and disfigurations of the upper and lower eyelids and to modify the eye region of the face. By removal or repositioning of excess tissues such as skin or fat using excision in eyelids, the blepharoplasty surgery resolves cosmetic and functional problems of the area from the eyebrow to the upper portion of the face. This is an anti-aging surgery.
After the blepharoplasty surgery, bandages are used to lubricate and cover the scar. Oral medication is used to heal pain. Sometimes antibiotics are also prescribed to get rid of infection. Also care needs to be taken in cleaning eyes, during makeup, when watching television and contact lenses should not be used at all for some time. Alcohol intake should also be reduced for some reasons.
